HPQ Silicon Inc. and Novacium SAS have entered into a strategic partnership with Pragma Industries to accelerate the commercialization of METAGENE™ green hydrogen production systems. The agreement aims to deploy METAGENE™ technology, developed by Novacium, for high-pressure production of green hydrogen. Pragma Industries, known for its expertise in fuel cells and soft mobility solutions, sees the integration of METAGENE™ stations as crucial for sustainable last-mile transportation. METAGENE™ technology utilizes an aluminum-silicon alloy to produce hydrogen efficiently and safely, generating 1.25 m³ of hydrogen per kilogram of fuel without relying on electricity or heavy infrastructure. This innovation is ideal for light mobility applications such as hydrogen-powered bicycles and low-emission vehicles. The collaboration plans a pilot phase to validate the production capacity of 10 kg of hydrogen per day, targeting fleets of hydrogen vehicles and drones. Pragma Industries' involvement in the MANGABHY project further emphasizes the potential of METAGENE™ for specialized fuel cell applications.
