Hyundai Motor's Nexo, an eco-friendly hydrogen car, will play a significant role as the protocol vehicle at the upcoming APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting and the Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting in Busan. This marks the first time a hydrogen car is chosen for such a prestigious role at international events. Hyundai Motor Group has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to provide a total of 63 eco-friendly vehicles, including Nexo, Genesis G80 electric models, Kia EV9, and Universe hydrogen electric buses, to support key figures at the meetings. The meetings will gather representatives from various economies to discuss energy-related topics such as power grid infrastructure, energy security, AI-driven innovation, future fuels like hydrogen, and carbon reduction technologies. Hyundai Motor Group's Vice President, Kim Dong-wook, expressed the company's commitment to showcasing eco-friendly vehicles and promoting a sustainable future at these events. By highlighting the marketability of its eco-friendly vehicles, Hyundai aims to increase global interest in hydrogen cars and solidify its position in the sustainable transportation sector.
