Sarawak is positioning itself as a regional leader in green hydrogen development within Asean, capitalizing on its abundant hydropower resources and international collaborations. Premier Abang Johari's participation at the conference underscores the increasing international recognition of Sarawak's leadership in clean energy transition in Asia. Alongside presenting the keynote, he will join a high-level panel discussion on harmonizing hydrogen policy support across the Asia-Pacific region. The conference aims to bring together global leaders in hydrogen innovation to accelerate the transition towards a clean hydrogen economy in Asia. Premier Abang Johari's visit to Tokyo also includes a meeting with representatives from Sumitomo before his scheduled return to Kuching.
