Gentari, a Malaysian clean energy solutions provider, has announced the integration of its commercial and industrial arm, Amplus Solar, into the Gentari brand in New Delhi, India. This move signifies a consolidation of Gentari's renewable energy business in India, unifying its operations under a single brand to expand its clean energy offerings in both distributed and utility-scale segments. Following the departure of Navjit Gill, Sharad Pungalia, the CEO of Amplus, has taken over as Gentari's country head in India. The transition aims to streamline operations and enhance the delivery of clean energy solutions. With a 6 GW renewable energy capacity in India, Gentari is actively involved in various projects, including the development of a 650-MW carbon-free energy project and the acquisition of a 1.6 GW portfolio of solar and wind assets. The company is also a shareholder in AM Green, a green hydrogen and ammonia company, with ambitious goals to produce green ammonia and hydrogen at scale by 2030.
