The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has put forth a new proposal concerning the color scheme for the number plates of hydrogen-powered vehicles. According to the proposal, there will be specific color combinations for different types of vehicles. Commercial hydrogen vehicles will be distinguished by a color scheme featuring a top half in green and a bottom half in blue, with yellow text. Private hydrogen vehicles, on the other hand, will have a similar green and blue color division but with white text. Additionally, rent-a-cab plates for hydrogen vehicles will showcase a black top half, a blue bottom half, and yellow text. This initiative is designed to provide a clear visual identification for hydrogen-powered vehicles on the roads, intending to raise awareness and promote the use of environmentally friendly transport options. By implementing these distinct color schemes, the government aims to facilitate easy recognition of hydrogen vehicles, contributing to the broader efforts towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation.
