Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power has signed strategic memorandums of understanding with Danantara Indonesia and PT Pertamina in Indonesia to accelerate renewable energy and water desalination developments. The agreements, valued at up to $10 billion, aim to explore investment opportunities in renewable energy generation, green hydrogen, and water desalination. ACWA Power and Danantara will also jointly develop up to 500MW of renewable and gas-to-power projects. These initiatives align with Indonesia’s national energy targets for renewable energy share. The collaborations aim to enhance energy resilience, attract foreign direct investment, and support Indonesia’s energy and water security goals. ACWA Power's Vice Chairman expressed pride in deepening their presence in Indonesia's power and water sector, emphasizing the commitment to a sustainable and greener future. The CEO of Danantara Indonesia highlighted the collaboration's significance in positioning Indonesia in the global energy transition. PT Pertamina's CEO emphasized the company's commitment to national energy security and the energy transition, aiming for tangible value creation and leading the region towards a low-carbon economy. These agreements reflect ACWA Power's international expansion in clean energy markets.
