HRS, a French hydrogen refueling station designer and manufacturer, has inaugurated its high-capacity HRS40 station near Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport as part of the Zero Emission Valley (ZEV) project led by HYmpulsion. The ZEV project aims to develop a carbon-free, profitable, and sustainable mobility sector in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region by deploying green hydrogen production, storage, distribution infrastructure, and hydrogen-powered vehicles. By 2028, the project targets over 1,000 hydrogen vehicles on the road. The strategic location of the HRS40 station on the TEN-T central network enables intensive road transport refueling and contributes to decarbonizing Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport's mobility. HRS and HYmpulsion are rapidly expanding a network of high-capacity hydrogen stations, with three operational stations near Lyon and three more planned for 2025. The commitment of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region to hydrogen development is highlighted by the involvement of numerous companies, research centers, and training programs. HRS's hydrogen refueling solutions offer modular and scalable stations, supporting the transition to carbon-free mobility with a hydrogen agnostic approach, allowing flexibility in choosing hydrogen suppliers.
