Andhra Pradesh, India, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has unveiled the ambitious Andhra Pradesh Green Hydrogen Valley Declaration-2025. This declaration sets forth a comprehensive roadmap aimed at positioning the state as a leader in green hydrogen innovation and sustainable industrial transformation. Key objectives include accelerating green hydrogen production, promoting domestic manufacturing, building research capacity, and fostering global partnerships. The state aims to establish a 5 GW electrolyser manufacturing capacity by 2029, achieve significant green hydrogen production targets, and reduce the cost of green hydrogen. Efforts also focus on creating an indigenous supply chain, supporting start-ups through an innovation fund, and establishing a skilling ecosystem. SRM University-AP will serve as the research and development hub, with annual summits planned to track progress. The declaration showcases Andhra Pradesh's commitment to global climate goals and energy security, emphasizing collaboration and advancement in green hydrogen technologies.
