Adani Enterprises recently introduced India's inaugural hydrogen fuel cell truck in Raipur, marking a significant milestone in the country's transportation sector. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, inaugurated the first hydrogen-powered truck, designed to transport coal from the Gare Pelma III Block to the state's power plant. Developed through a partnership between an Indian and an international energy technology firm along with a major auto manufacturer, the truck is equipped with three hydrogen tanks, granting it a 200 km range and enabling it to carry heavy loads of up to 40 tonnes. Vinay Prakash, CEO of Natural Resources and Director at Adani Enterprises, emphasized the company's dedication to decarbonisation and responsible mining practices. He outlined the implementation of various eco-friendly technologies in their operations, including autonomous dozer push systems, solar power integration, digital initiatives, and tree transplanters for preserving the environment.
