Pure Hydrogen, a clean energy and truck manufacturer, has partnered with Californian commercial truck dealership Riverview International Trucks to purchase a hydrogen-powered refuse truck. The deal involves Riverview acquiring a TG23-110 hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, compliant with American standards, which will be assembled in California and then shipped to Riverview's West Sacramento facility. Pure Hydrogen intends to have a customer utilize the vehicle and has received interest in future orders. Managing Director Scott Brown sees this partnership as a milestone for delivering Australian-assembled hydrogen-powered trucks to the US, positioning Pure as a key player in North America amidst sector exits by other companies like Nikola and Hyzon. The collaboration with Riverview provides Pure with a strong local partner to expand its market footprint and demonstrate its technology's reliability and scalability. The hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will serve as a demo unit for potential US customers, with drive days planned in partnership with Riverview to showcase the technology firsthand. This move reflects Pure Hydrogen's commitment to growth and market penetration in North America.
